My story . . .

I’m Bob Wendover . . .

I’m a husband, father, Hiker, cyclist, traveler and generally happy and balanced person.

I’ve been helping employers manage their workforce challenges for more than 30 years. I write books, conduct seminars and coach people. In other words, I work for myself.

You might be thinking, “If you work for yourself, you must have complete control.” NOT TRUE!!!! I used to joke that I worked half-time — 12 hours per day. But over time, it stopped being a joke. Between speaking to groups, preparing content, managing a team, and selling speaking engagements, I realized I had no time and energy for myself. I know the feeling of being trapped and exhausted that dogs so many people.  I may not be inside a large corporation, but I can certainly relate to the pressures. Believe me!

Finally . . . I realized this was killing me. So I started reflecting on the more than 3000 interviews I have conducted with senior leaders, business owners, corporate executives who have large responsibilities and yet are calm, balanced and enjoying life. I began to see similarities in what they do.

I realized that their strategies aren’t complicated. They don’t require lots of time. They just use a collection of subtle techniques to manage themselves, their surroundings and those around them. When I started practicing these ideas myself, I felt my pressures begin to dissipate almost immediately.

Over time, I’ve identified more than 125 of these tactics. Today, I enjoy a life full of balance like I haven’t experienced in a long time. Yet my business continues to thrive. Bottom line? I’m in a great place and I’d like to share a few of these strategies with you.
